Nominating Petitions for persons interested in filing to be a Park Board Commissioner are available for pick up at the Warrenville Park District Administration Office, 3S260 Warren Avenue, Warrenville IL. Two (2) seats for the Park Board Commissioners for the Warrenville Park District will be elected to full four year terms at the April 4th, 2023 consolidated election.
To be a candidate, interested persons must file nominating petitions signed by qualified voters who are residents of the Warrenville Park District. Nominating petition sheets may be circulated beginning Tuesday, September 20th, 2022.
Completed petitions must be filed with the Park District Secretary between December 12th through December 21, 2022 during normal business hours of the Park District, 9 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at the Guest Services Desk, 3S260 Warren Avenue, Warrenville.
Candidates for the office of Park Commissioner must live within the Warrenville Park District boundaries, must have been a resident of the district for a minimum of one year, and must file a statement of economic interest with the DuPage County Clerk. A statement of candidacy, the nominating petitions, the receipt of the economic interest statement filed with County, and a loyalty oath (optional) must be filed with the Park District Secretary.
Park Board commissioners serve without compensation.
Position on the ballot will be according to when the nominating papers are filed with the Secretary of the Park Board. If more than one candidate files simultaneously for the same office, a lottery will be held on December 22nd, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. to determine ballot placement.
