Park Clean Up

The Earth Action Committee has rebranded and will now be known as the Environmental Awareness Committee.

The Environmental Awareness Committee provides tips to live more sustainably encouraging people to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and to participate in outdoor activities and appreciation.

Summerlakes Park Spring Clean Up Day Join the Warrenville Park District staff for a day in the sun as we work side by side to clean up our community parks making them a fun and safe “Place to Be” for our many visitors. Arbor Day Celebration  Date: Saturday, April 26th, 2025, 10AM-Noon Hosted by the City of Warrenville Environmental Advisory Commission Location: Warrenville Park District Recreation Center Gym Environmental Fair with vendors, light refreshments Free Tree giveaways & Door Prizes

 Park District Program Fee applies-Whimsical Fairy Garden Ages 3and Up June 20, 2025  Fee: $25 Res/Non-Res. $30 Join us to create your own fairy garden, choose your pots, succulents and mystical miniatures

Spring 2025 Recycling Opportunities at the Warrenville Park District-

  • The Recycle Station currently accepts Eyeglasses, Ink Jet Toner Cartridges, plastic bottles and plastic grocery bags. Warrenville Park District recycle station is available for donation during office hours.
  •  The Knights of Columbus Shoe Drive collects New and Gently Used Shoes, on behalf of Share your Soles year-round.
  • Cradles to Crayons-Items accepted year-round include-NewSchool & Art Supplies, Socks, Hygiene Items, New & Gently Used-Coats, Clothing, Nursey items, Pajamas and Books.   The designated Drop off location is in our Recreation Center Lower-Level Entry Hall
  • Other Recycling opportunities-Wheaton Recycling Event, (second Sat each month) Time: 9am-Noon Location: Public Works Storage Yard, 820 W Liberty Drive, Wheaton (near the Wheaton Police Department)
