WARRENVILLE PARK DISTRICT RECEIVES GFOA AWARD

We are pleased to announce the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Warrenville Park District for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ended April 30, 2022. The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.…

WARRENVILLE PARK DISTRICT COMMISSIONERS RECEIVE STATEWIDE RECOGNITION

At this afternoon’s IAPD Annual Business Meeting during the Illinois Association of Park Districts / Illinois Park and Recreation Association Soaring to New Heights Conference, Commissioners Tina Coons and Denise DiCianni received awards as part of IAPD’s Board Member Development Program. Commissioner Coons, who has served on the board since 2017, received the Master Board Member Award. Commissioner DiCianni, who has served on the board since 2019, received the Distinctive Board Member Award. At the February 16 Board Meeting, Executive Director, Tim Reinbold presented the Master Board Member award to Commissioner Barb Thornbury, who has served on the board from 1999-2011, and again since 2013.…
